Americana star Bonnie Raitt has honoured her late pal and collaborator John Prine with a touching music tribute on-line.
The people and nation music icon handed away from coronavirus issues on Tuesday, and now Raitt has devoted an at-home efficiency to the tragic 73 yr outdated, after reflecting on her life in isolation in a bid to gradual the unfold of COVID-19.
In the special video, Raitt explains how she’s discovered the silver lining throughout the world pandemic, because the compelled downtime has allowed her to uncover “surprise blessings” and “do all those things I always wished I could do if I had more time”.
However, she notes to Billboard.com, “The reason we’re doing this is heartbreaking, and I’m hoping that we’re going to be coming out of this with lessons learned, and appreciating what we have.
“For those that aren’t blessed to have a safe and protected dwelling, and enough medical care, and are anxious about their financial future, and going by way of medical well being crises, my coronary heart goes out to you.”
Raitt goes on to address the loss of her close pal, who she had just saluted with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award earlier this year.
